FIRST WORLD WAR  MEDALS AWARDED TO 13/2090 Lance Corporal  Philip Henry Gerald WATERS. Auckland Mounted Rifles .

 1 1914-1915 STAR    ( bronze star and crown -red  white and blue ribbon) --Awarded to N.Z.  troops  serving in Samoa on 27 August 1914, and in Gallipoli and Egypt between   5 August 1914 and 31 December 1915.

 2 British WAR MEDAL 1914-1919.  (silver, with undressed man on horse: ribbon- blue black, white thin edge strip- wide  golden centre strip)-awarded to all N.Z. servicemen  and women who served overseas during W.W.1.

 3 Victory MEDAL (1914-1919)— (bronze –figure  with laurel leaf and slain eagle;  ribbon, purple blue green edges, green yellow orange red in the middle)   Awarded  to all N.Z.  troops who served overseas in W.W.1. except those serving in Samoa after 27August 1914 and those who served in Great Britain only.

ANZAC COMMEMORATIVE MEDALLION  1967

( Issued in 1965) Awarded to Australian  and N.Z. personnel who participated in the Gallipoli  campaign of 1915. The award could be claimed  by living veterans  or next-of-kin of those who were killed in the war or who had since died.
